MISSION GROUPS

July 2005 saw 225 students from WORLD CHANGERS visit Cornwall as they once again lent their skills to serving our community. 30 Community projects were completed ranging from building wheelchair ramps to scraping and painting exterior building.

FACADE PROJECT

Another collaborative effort led by Groupe Renaissance Group (GRG) in partnership with Service Canada, Le Village and the Downtown BIA (Business Improvement Area). 16 facade projects were completed including the Rotary Club Gazebo.

This 44 week project was geared toward placing unemployed individuals in the workforce. Participants gained many skills to assist in gaining meaningful employment. SUCCESS! 10 out of 11 found work.

The value of this project was approximately $650,000.00 in labor and materials.
