Chuck Charlebois Biography
Gérald Hervé Charlebois
President, Groupe Renaissance Group
Chuck Charlebois, as he is most commonly known, was born in Cornwall on June 15th, 1948 and has remained a Cornwall resident all his life. Married to Suzan Rochon in 1971, they have two children, Michel (m) born in 1972 and Christine (f) born in 1974.
Chuck's ability and passion to work with the public became apparent in his early work history.
Chuck joined the Youth Employment Counseling Center (YECC) as an Employment Counselor. He later directed his organizational skills and that of his friend Mike Lemire to develop and manage RARE (Recyclage Alexandria Recycling Equipe).
He served on City Council for three terms.
Chuck also served on the following Committees.
- Cornwall Waterfront Committee (Chairman)
- EOTB Eastern Ontario Training Board (Co-Chair)
- Ontarian's with disabilities Committee (Chairman)
- Le Village BIA (President)
- The Canadian Croquet Club (President)
Now retired, Chuck remains active in his role of President of Groupe Renaissance Group, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the revitalization of Cornwall, which he founded in 1999.
