Parc Renaissance Park Aime LeBlanc

In 2000 the Parc Renaissance Park Aime LeBlanc was opened and dedicated to the memory of Aime Leblanc a former Cornwall councilor who played an important role in the development of Cornwalls' first-class parks and recreation programs during his 23 years of service as a member of city council.

Through the Millennium Bureau of Canada (Canada Millennium Partnership Program) with commitments from the City of Cornwall, Groupe Renaissance Group, the City of Cornwall Waterfront Committee, the Renaissance Residents Association, The Knights of Columbus Ontario Council #755 and Le Village BIA/ZAC, a truly community driven project has taken place to rejuvenate this neglected "green-space" and make it a better place to live-work-and-play.

Mattice Park Mural This visionary project combines ample green space, colorful murals safe playground equipment and easy access to 45km of bicycle path, which connects the town of Lancaster in the east and the Bird Sanctuary in Morrisburg to the west. What has been created is a vibrant community-centered park, which is exciting, not only for many people in the area but also, for Cornwall as a whole.
